The Bristol Hotel has been a landmark of comfort and royal elegance which is considered as the pioneer of luxury hotels in Gurugram. With the new management team, ‘Ashmiholdings Private Limited’ the hotel is going under a good transition in order to provide their patrons an all new experience and feel . So they have first started with relaunching of their 24 hour Coffee shop which is now an all day dining multi cuisine restaurant known as “PALMYRA”.
A nice and balanced spread of Continental, Italian and North Indian food is what one can relish there. They have buffet as well as ala carte also available along with different live stations. The Executive Chef Anil Dahiya is the man behind the whole game.We were invited to witness the same.
The interior and decor is done very decently, maintaining that classic feel and the aura around is quite comfy and relaxing. They also have a beautiful al fresco area attached to the restaurant which will really be the buzz for the upcoming winter lunches for sure.
Sandal wood smoked water melon was served as an amuse bouche to us first, followed by few scrumptious appetizers like Paneer khurchan roll, Jalapeno and cheese stuffed potato skin and tandoori prawns. They all were prepared nicely and were definitely quite welcoming. I liked the salad spread a lot as well ,specially the Russian Salad, Fresh garden salad and Chicken n Bell Pepper salad.
Assorted veg and non veg burger sliders were also served. Veg and Non veg Pizza were also like a treat coming straight from the wood fired oven .
In the main course, we loved the Hanoi style tofu and greens, Sole fish in thai Red curry and Fish in hot garlic sauce. From the north indian spread, Roghani murg and Chicken Manglorian roast masala were really outstanding. Salmon Teriyaki and Mushroom rissoto with ginger honey aspic were our pick from the main menu which were prepared to perfection .
After all this , we ended our meal on a sweet ending with some lovely offerings like assorted Cheese cakes, pastries and warm chocolate and walnut pudding. Chef’s candid and informative interaction in between the meal added to the whole experience.
