Kashmir is popularly known as ‘Paradise’ on this earth because of its immaculate beauty and serenity. The food here has also earned good fame when we talk about the various cuisines of India. The cuisine has been greatly influenced by the Kashmiri Pandits and Kashmiri Muslims. As a result, there are a huge number of offerings including veg and non veg delicacies present.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Kaushambi is hosting ‘KASHMIRI FOOD FESTIVAL ‘ at their Indian speciality restaurant KAMA. To delight the tastebuds of the guests they have prepared an exotic menu with handpicked kashmiri dishes. Specially for the festival, Chef Gulzar (A very renowned Chef from Kashmir) has been flown down to the city, so that the authenticity of the flavours remain intact.
Well the festival offers an A-la- carte menu to the guests which includes most scrumptious KASHMIRI dishes, right from the starters, mains to the desserts a complete WAZWAN. We tried Chicken kanti, Tabak Maaz, lamb seekh kebab and Pan fried fish in the starters. All of them were prepared brilliantly except Tabak Maaz it could have been better. It was way too oily as it was fried in low temperature oil and has absorbed unnecessary oil in it.
Wajah Murg and Marchwangan Korma was very nice in taste and are worth trying. Nicely prepared and quite flavourful with nice consistency indeed. Haak saag, kashmiri dum olur, Paneer methi chaman and Bhaderwah rajma are worth trying for sure if you are a vegetarian as they were very well prepared. Meat pulao is something which will definitely win your heart for sure from its aromatic fragrance and flavour.
In desserts we prefer Firum which is also known as Phirni over Shufta. Shufta could have been better as it was missing the rich consistency in it. Overall, definitely a worth visiting festival it is. So do give it a try before it ends as it will get over by 5th March 2017.
