How to make Doughnuts
Active yeast- 1 tsp
1/2 cup milk
Soft Butter- 5tsp
Oil to fry
1st step-: Prove the yeast
Take a 1/2 cup of warm milk, add 2 tsp of sugar, add 1 tsp of active yeast. Let it stand for 10 mins till the cup of milk fully froth.
Then take flour in a utensil. Add 2 tsp of sugar ,1/4 tsp of salt ,and 5 tsp of melted butter and one egg.
Then knead the dough with the fermented frothy milk. Knead it for 7-8 minutes into a soft dough, kneed thoroughly apply little butter and keep kneeding for 2-3 more minutes.
Then cover dough and let it rest for 2 hrs.
Punch out the air and kneed a little.
Now roll it to thickness of 1/2 cms using a rolling pin.
Cut in round shapes using a glass, and make a hole in the center using a small bottle cap. You can use a donuts cutter too.
Sprinkle some flour on a tray and place all donuts
Now brush some butter on all donuts and let it rest for 1 hour .
Then carefully Fry on medium heat flipping from both sides,till light golden. The donuts should be light in weight. -Fry all the doughnuts.
You can just dust the donuts with a mixture of Powder sugar and cinnamon.
You can glaze the donuts with chocolates and decorate.
Serve with hot coffee.
For glazing the donuts-
200 g milk chocolate compound
100 g cream.
1. Take cream in a pan and keep it on flame, switch of the flame when it boils.
2. Now break the chocolates in pieces and put them in hot cream, leave it till the chocolates starts to melt.
3. Whisk till its smooth n glossy.
4. Now glaze the donuts one by one.
5. Melt some white chocolate and decorate the donuts as per your creativity.
This recipe makes around 15 donuts and relished by all my family members.
