“Eeshwar Allah Tere Naam, Sabko Sanmati de Bhagwan”.
The above line pretty much sums up the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is the story of a common Hindu boy (Pavan) who is not only a devotee of God Hanuman; But also lives on his principles with all his heart. The story starts with a Pakistani woman and her daughter coming back in a train from India to Pakistan. Due to an inability to speak by birth, the woman takes her daughter (Shahida) to Nizamuddin Dargah to pray for her on someone’s suggestion. The story revolves around two main characters Pavan (Salman Khan) and a little girl Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra) where Shahida gets lost and Pavan defies all the norms and customs ready to go to any extent to help Shahida reach her parents safely but without being morally incorrect as he is a strong follower of ethics and “Bajrang Bali”.
He brings Shahida to Delhi and begins his quest for Shahida’s family. Meanwhile, Pavan narrates his story about coming to Delhi and falling in love with a beautiful girl Rasika (Kareena Kapoor). Like a typical Indian movie, her father wants Pavan to stand on his feet first and prove himself before getting married to Rasika. But Shahida comes as a new twist in his life and turns his whole life upside down.
The movie has shown the strength of humanity and its victory over religion and any boundary. Kabir Khan has done a great job and shown the power of people, not Hindu, not Muslim, but the Common Good Man. A message has been beautifully given to the audience in a very subtle and minimalistic way that some deeds are above your nationality and religion. People have some responsibilities as a human being. Many scenes in the movie might make you cry and some might make you fall off your chairs from laughter.
The cast of the movie has done a fabulous job. Harshali is the main protagonist. She looks very adorable and you can never get enough of her. Salman, is of course The Salman Khan we know. A perfect combination of innocence and machoness.
Kareena is looking great but has very less to do in this plot. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has done a superb job as a supporting actor and is the major humorous character of the movie.
To sum it up, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the best Salman Khan movie in approximately these 5years. Watch this for the way Salman, Harshali and the whole cast have depicted humanity over religions and land barriers on screen. With a perfect time of release and a great story line, this movie is all set to break super hit records.
